Anniversary & 5k

We had a long jam packed weekend so I will break these up into two posts. Friday was our 5 year anniversary. Time sure does fly by! We had asked the neighbor girls to come over. Our neighbor's have 8 kids and their three girls are of babysitting age- which comes in handy from time to time. While they all decided they would rather go to the football game so they sent over their foreign exchange student. While I am such an observant neighbor I didn't even realize they had an exchange student! She is a senior in college and I said it would be fine at the time but on the way to the restaurant I had a small freak out. I just left my baby with a stranger! What kind of mother am I!?! He took a nap the whole time so it was fine in the end. It was a "hurry up and eat your food so we can rush home" meal though.
Saturday morning we had to get up bright and early to make it over to Grand Island to run a 5k with my friend Mandy. I have done this race for the last 4 years and I just really enjoy this one. It was my very first race and so I just keep coming back. I had so much fun this year running with Mandy and we just took the time to chit chat and get caught up with each other. It was also my first post baby race and it felt really good. Next up Kansas City half marathon!
I hope to have Thatcher run it with me in the future. He ran it last year he just doesn't remember it. Mandy's family came out to watch us and so Thatcher got all sorts of attention - so did Frankie!
