Week of the Young Child

Last week was "The Week of the Young Child" - celebrating early childhood development/education.  Sonshine World had a lot of activities going on as a celebration of this week.  They had activities for teacher appreciation, the Spring Program and an Art Display at the mall.  All of the large daycare centers in Kearney participated in the art display.  Each school kind of did their own theme- some had individual art and some, like Sonshine World, had a group display for each class.

Sonshine World also held their spring program that week.  We could not get out of Thatcher what songs he was singing and when you asked him he would sing a montage of a bunch of different songs.  It wasn't until we went to the program that it made sense.  At home he was singing both of the songs for the Zebra's and the Tiger's since they moved him mid year.  The program was once again the cutest thing ever- Thatcher did better at standing in his spot and singing his songs.  I put the video up on Facebook so I am sure most of you have seen it by now.
Thatcher had his 3 year check up the other day and he is in the 95% height range for his age so as you can see his height is all torso- shirt is too short and the pants are dragging on the floor.  It is really hard to buy a matching outfit and have it fit.
