Fun at the Fair

We had a busy weekend after a busy work week.  I went to Gary Allen and Thompson Square on Friday night with my good pals Jenny and Mandy.  Both acts put on a really good show and we had a great time.  There is nothing like a good girls night out to do the soul some good!  Saturday night Mike and I had a couple shower to go to for a friend that is getting married next month.  So Sunday was a family day for us since we seem to have a million things going on lately it was nice to spend some time with just us.  We went to the Buffalo County Fair to mainly check out the animals.  Those 4-H kids are so sweet and they always want to show off their animals to you; that is what I love about our small fair. The kids run and get their animals and want you to pet them, feed them or walk them around.  Thatcher couldn't get past how dirty the floor was.  "Floor Dirty, Floor Dirty"

We then walked around and checked out some of the rides.  I really didn't want to ride any since we all know I get motion sick on the carousel.  Thatcher kept trying to run up to the rides so we bought some tickets and thought we would just let him try them out.  He got in his car and had to wait for the other kids for kind of a while so I thought he was going to freak out but then these girls jumped in the back of his car and life was good.  The ride started and he just loved it.  He turned the wheels and was pushing the buttons trying to make it go faster and would smile every time he went by us.  I on the other hand wanted the Carnies to slow it down, I thought the ride went way to fast to have my baby on there.  He went on a couple rides by himself and wanted to go on more.  Where did my baby go?  Riding rides by himself!?!

What is a trip to the fair without some fair food???  Last year I didn't partake in any fair food and I wasn't going to let the funnel cake pass me by this year.  I will say it didn't seem as awesome as I remember it being.  Thatcher didn't seem that impressed with it either.  Probably not a bad thing I suppose.

I can't wait to take Thatcher to the State Fair and let him spend his day going on all the rides.  He had so much fun!
