Thatcher's Idol

This past weekend my beautiful niece Landry turned 4 so we decided we would make a full weekend out of it and go to the zoo on Friday.  Thatcher had a great time at the zoo, it is so much fun taking him the older he gets.  That being said towards the end he got a little unruly but it was a long day for all of us.
We road the train, of course. Finding the train was the first thing we did.  The whistle on that thing is horrendous.  However, Thatcher loved it, he was smiling from ear to ear.  ** Note in all of these pictures his hat is too small and he insists on wearing it off to the side- goof ball!**

After the train we headed back up to the kids zone.  I thought T would like to pet some goats, instead he chased around chicken after chicken until they all went into their nests.  Maybe I should find a local farmer that needs help rounding up chickens so T can earn some money.  Do you round up chickens? Hmm...

Next up was the Gorillas- who doesn't love the gorilla's at the zoo?  We found the gorilla statues after we had just come out of the building- I am not sure if it was the color of them or what it was but T thought they were real and refused to get on them.  It was very confusing for Thatcher.

The aquarium as usual is always so much fun.  Thatcher loved that exhibit the best I think- That and feeding those nasty, gigantic Koi fish.  I know kids like to feed those fish but they just become this huge, slimy ball of fish.  Yuck!
After leaving the zoo we headed back to my brother's house to spend the night and stay for Landry's barbie party on Saturday.  Thatcher loves Brodie, he constantly asked about him when he was not with us.  Brodie? Brodie? Brodie?  He wants to be right next to Brodie at all times.  Landry's party was great and the kids had fun, it was so nice to swim in a sea of Barbie's.  Finally a girl thing I can appreciate!

Thatcher can't look at the camera because he is too busy basking in the glow of Brodie!
