Major Trouble

Finding costumes for Thatcher can be very difficult- difficult to fit his head and to find one he will wear.  I think we tried on every costume in Party America until we settled on this one.  Poor kid just doesn't have very many options, he is too short and has the head of a five year old.  This costume of course fits him perfectly though. Lately he has been major trouble.  I never wanted to raise a push over of a kid but raising a strong willed, think headed, stubborn child can really take it's toll on a person.  I signed T up for soccer at the YMCA this last session because I thought it would be a good mommy- son thing to do and it was free.  Big Mistake!  We had to leave the sessions twice because he wouldn't listen and just wanted to run around, roll around on the floor and do whatever he wants to do.  He was one head spin short of having an exorcist in the parking lot!  Never mind that it is after 5 when we are leaving and everyone I know is there and seeing me leave with this crazy child.  Needless to say I have not taken him back!
Halloween weekend we are busy doing things around the house so we didn't find time to carve pumpkins until late Sunday.  Thatcher had some Peez candy that day so he was a crazy man and really didn't partake too much in the carving of the pumpkins.  He was too busy acting like Frankie to do anything else.  The pumpkins were "dirty" anyway and all he wanted to do was clean them.  Don't know where he gets that notion from.

We switched Thatcher from an in home daycare to a "school" at the end of September so that we won't have to move him again when he becomes preschool age.  They do some learning in classes now and it is in a church so they pray and talk about Jesus.  The initial transition was very tough for Thatcher but it is getting better.  I catch him talking about Jesus and his favorite song is Happy Birthday.  Last week they had pictures so now when you take his picture he says "cheese"  - which gives him a silly smile.

Thatcher had fun trick or treating.  He pulled the shy card this year so didn't get into it too much.  He did have a lot of fun handing out candy at our house.  Some Japanese students thought he was very cute and kept taking his picture.
