On Sunday we carved a pumpkin and Thatcher had fun helping Dad clean it out!
We of course went Trick-or-Treating this weekend. Costume shopping was interesting this year. Thatcher had started off as being a Marshmallow Peep for Halloween. He was scared of it when it came in the mail and refused to try it on. I finally get it on him and the cut out for the head was so small I couldn't squeeze his head into it. He really hated that costume by the time I popped his head out of the hole. So off to Old Navy we went to see what they had left for costumes. They had two left in his size a Giraffe and a Race Car Driver. I didn't even have the Giraffe costume fully on him before he was throwing a fit in the middle of Old Navy so the Race Car Driver it was. It came with a hat that I suppose should fit a normal toddler his size but not this kid. We had to improvise and get him an adult Michael Waltrip hat that fit him perfectly. He actually kept the hat on all night. I was so impressed!
Once he figured out he was going to get candy he thought this Trick-or-Treating thing was pretty cool. He had a great time and really seemed to be enjoying himself. He really enjoyed the car rides because he could figure out how to get the candy open and hep himself to whatever he wanted when we were not paying attention! He even enjoyed handing out candy to the kids that came to our house.
** I can't figure out how to turn these pictures. I edit and save them upright but they are not coming across on the blog that way. You will have to tilt your monitor screen I guess!!**
