Secondly, Thatcher is off the binkie. It was a struggle the first couple days, he wouldn't sleep all night and was waking up earlier than usual. We still have an occasional rough night but it is much better and it needed to be done.
Thirdly, Mike got the dishwasher fixed. Our dishwasher and dryer both quite working within days of each other. I felt like I was living in the poor house washing dishes by hand and line drying our clothes. Mike fixed the dryer right away as that was a necessity in our life but the dishwasher just sat there waiting to be diagnosed. After a couple weeks Mike managed to have some time to get it back up and running. I am so glad that Mike is handy enough to fix things around the house. Next on his list needs to bet changing the oil in my car. My car is 4000 miles over! I know ! I cringe typing this.
It is amazing how you just put it off and put it off and before you know it your dog looks like he is the Grinch that Stole Christmas and you have dish pan hands from washing dishes all day! That being said my priorities are still in line, my kid is clean and well fed, my house is clean -like always and my running is great!
Thatcher this week has been stubborn, stubborn and is clearly the apple of his father's eye! He refused to take of his pj shirt one day so he wore it to daycare. He thought he was king of the mountain that day dancing around in his pj's for all the daycare kids to see. Later that same day he wouldn't take off his coat, hat or shoes when we got home. I also ordered in a Paddle Jumper floater's for our upcoming trip to Yankton. Do you know how hard it is to find a store that carries flotation devices in Nebraska in January? Thatcher loves to wear it around the house. I am glad he enjoys wearing it and is not fighting me on putting it on. Watch him not want to wear it when it is time to get in the pool.
We did manage to find time to put up Thatcher's train that he received over Christmas. He loves it! I can't wait to buy him more parts and tracks for it so he can have a large train set. It is a nice distraction for him when I want to get something done. You would think my list would get shorter of the things I have been putting off!
