This past weekend the Hoesing clan made their way to Yankton SD to celebrate Christmas as a family. We all got rooms at the Best Western as it appeared to have an awesome pool set up. What we failed to know was that this past weekend there was a big hockey tournament in Yankton so there were kids everywhere. They are like the Mojwai from Gremlins; don't get wet or they multiple, don't feed after midnight, and don't expose to sunlight. While someone would have thought this was the swimming pool from the movie because they just kept coming and coming and coming. They were out of hand! There is nothing that I like better than tweens and pre tweens whose parents are nowhere to be found. They reminded me of Stripe and his buddies and poor T and his cousins were Gizmo and the dog from the movie.
Here are some pictures before Stripe and his buddies laid their pods in the pool. (Is this anology aging me?)
As you can see T is a natural in the pool as long as he can touch. He was not such a fan of the big pool even with his Puddle Jumpers on. We are going to have to work on that at our local Y- hopefully without Stripe and his buddies. The trip was long but it was worth it to see family and spend a weekend hanging out and catching up.
