Last Friday Mike, Thatcher, Grandma Glo and myself all ventured over to Grand Island to enjoy the State Fair. I love that the State Fair is in Grand Island it makes a nice day trip for us. The weather was great- nice, cool, and cloudy. Thatcher love to ride the rides and see all the animals. You would never know this from watching him - he is the definition of stoic. He shows no emotion what so ever but you know he wants to do be there because if you tell him no he throws a temper tantrum. The proof is in these pictures. His facial expression in all of them is nothing, no emotion, he won't even wave as you as he goes by.
The rare and only picture where he seems to be smiling.
I think the favorite thing about the fair was a book that Grandma bought for him. It is a train book that has a wind up train and tracks in the book so as you read it you can send the train around the pages. It is an expensive book so we put it up after we are done reading it but that kid asks about it all the time and even tried to gather up his toys to stand on so he could get it off our dresser.
Thatcher has become a very picky, anal child. Everything has to be so, so. Not only does he have to have a hat on but notice his hats are always off to the side, he insits they be that way. He has to have a certain routine and about has a breakdown if he doesn't brush his teeth or take a shower in a certain order. We wanted him to have a routine but this is getting to be a little extreme.
Saturday night we went to a rodeo in Pleasanton to watch our friend Trevor and see their little guy. Thatcher was so excited to see the horses. Here he is on Trevor's bulldogging horse. You know I am not even sure if this horse has a name, as often as I see them you think I would know.
