Should have been a Taurus

When I was pregnant I read a lot of things on the Internet.  Some  practical things like how big the baby was, how far along in development they should be, etc.  I also read a lot of impractical things- such as horoscopes- mine, the baby's and what our two horoscopes mean together.  I am not a big horoscope person, I don't read mine daily or even monthly for that matter but sometimes I read them for fun.  When I was pregnant I thought T was going to be a Taurus baby because of his due date and scheduled c-section.  So this is the horoscope I read for an Aries Parent with a Taurus Child:

In many ways, you and your Taurus child are fundamentally different. You've always been spirited, passionate, and impulsive, but your little Taurus is much more relaxed and easygoing. You've never been able to wait for anything, but walking a block with your young Taurus is guaranteed to develop your patience. Like you, he embodies strength and vitality, but his unhurried pace could drive you batty -- or at least leave you feeling antsy and craving some stimulation.

Your child is much more grounded and practical than you are, even at an early age. Of course, you can expect some real fireworks when you get irritated and your little one's stubborn side kicks in. Taurus people of all ages tend to hold grudges, but you can help your child learn to get things off her chest and then move on.

I also read how Taurus children tend to be indecisive and tend to doddle and will always make you late, which drives Aries parents to the brink of insanity.  I remember thinking to myself there is no way my kid will doddle or be indecisive.  There is no way that I can produce a child that would be like that! Nope no child of mine will be indecisive!
Thatcher ended up being an Aries baby- which means two Aries are butting heads, which we often do with our hot headiness and stubborn nature but in many ways Thatcher fits this Taurus reading to a T.  That kid is so indecisive and moves that the rate of molasses!  I am constantly screaming at him to get out of the door and to the car because we are running late.  He can't make a decision on anything- there could be 5 of the exact same toy in a line and he will not be sure which one to pick.  He may pick one and then put it back to pick up another one that looks exactly the same!  I often times try to let him make decisions but taking 20 minutes to decide if you want white donuts or white donuts about makes me want to scream!  Then out comes our hot headiness and stubborn nature with each other.
I still think about that stupid horoscope and how I thought that it was going to be so wrong.  I think sometimes maybe people try to make their horoscopes fit into real life when really they are just crap- but then maybe the are somewhat right?   Maybe all kids at his age doddle and have a hard time making decisions- I just have the one so I wouldn't know.
Thatcher had his school pictures a couple weeks ago and we finally got them earlier this week.  They are pretty cute.  I love all the new things this "school" is giving us.  We have his first Christmas program in a couple weeks and I am sure I will be the parent in the front row with the video camera.
