Cheap vs. Thrifty

Mike would say I am cheap - I would say I am thrifty.  Why pay full price for something when I can either get it for free or for a discounted price?  Better yet, when I can reuse something that I currently have- why be wasteful? I will often times go into a store find something I like and then go online and find that exact item for the cheapest price with free shipping.  Mike gets so frustrated by this.
Valentine's Day is a prime example of our ongoing disagreement.  I had purchased Valentines for Thatcher last year and had so many left over I used them again this year and could probably have enough for next year.  I purchased tattoo Valentines because frankly I don't think kids need all that candy-which Mike also disagrees with.  As I sat there working on Thatcher's Valentines Mike pointed out how "cheap" he thought I was.  He thinks I should tie nice little bows and bought candy to add to the Valentine's from last year.  Not to mention that the thought the tattoos looked - again "cheap".  First; of all I don't have the time to make little baggies for 17 people and second; he is a different daycare so no one knows they are the same Valentines from last year.  Thatcher by the way LOVED the tattoos and wanted them all over his arms.  See I am right :)

Wow!  His face is really dirty in this picture and his hair is a little crazy.  He needs a haircut but it is not at the point where it bothers me yet.
