Snowed In!

This past weekend seemed oddly busy even though we were snowed in for part of it.  Thatcher could not be more excited for it to snow.  He started asking if he could go outside and play in right after he woke up.   I had scheduled a small photo session for Thatcher that day but it was postponed to Sunday due to the snow.  I told him when we went outside he needed to watch his pretty little face because he had pictures the next day.  Sure enough he fell on his face twice in less than 20 minutes.  I blame it on lack of coordination and a large head that makes him topple over easy.

While Mike and Thatcher were outside I worked on making some of these.  It is much easier to work on my craft projects when Thatcher is outside.  His little hands are fast and he make anything disappear.

Later that day Mike and Thatcher made an apple pie. Thatcher loves helping in the kitchen- really he just loves doing whatever you are doing.  See the lovely mark on his forehead and chin?

Sunday Thatcher and I headed over to Shelton to get his pictures taken.  I have only seen one of them but if they all look like that I will be very pleased.  He did such a good job and is such a ham- even with the train going by every 5 minutes (you can probably imagine what a distraction that was).  She even mentioned using him as a model for her store :)  Then again she might say that to every child she photographs.  (I will wait for her call.)
Later that day - after Thatcher had taken his nap and I made up for not getting to the Y the day before-we all headed outside to make a snowman.  The snow was not really cooperating in making the perfect snowman but we did get a small made in the backyard.

Thatcher has been fighting a cold all week and some kids in his "class" have had croup so I am hoping he gets to feeling better soon.  It seems like we have been fighting a cough, cold since December.
